How do I grow my business? Continued…
I’ve talked about price, what about reputation?
Without doubt, the ideal situation is when a client seeks out your services. Winning work via reputation is what we should all aspire to. You can create an offer that reflects your quality and the clients desire for you to do the work.
However, it’s often the case that you need to demonstrate your reputation and ability through a proposal or technical submission. This can be difficult and time consuming. Understanding the clients requirements is key and although you might have some great examples of work to share you must ensure your providing the client with the fundamental information they require. This is a common issue when developing technical submissions. It must also be in the right format, specific, evidenced and succinct. Quality submissions are not difficult but there is a skill to telling your story.
“Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution.”
